I don’t know if you use checklists to get through your day, but they are invaluable to me.
Every day, I make a list, carrying over those items I didn’t get done to the next day.
If I don’t do this, I lose track of what I’m doing, and I just putz around the house all day, and before you know it, nothing has been done and I’ve lost those 24 hours forever.
Take today. Left over on my list….and has been on my list…for months was to replace the fans in my PC. Two of them were dead, and the third is making noise. It only took an hour, but it was an hour of doing things I wasn’t truly comfortable with.
Turned out that everything worked out all right…if we disregard that I totally fried 2 other fans figuring out the wiring. (The vendor did use the connectors INcorrectly, and that took a couple of tries to get straight.
Meanwhile, my efforts on getting my close-up magic skills back to par by August are progressing slowly. But, since I have the fans off of my list…..it opens up time for that. Time that I’ll put to really good use.
I have 5 items that aren’t exactly new, but haven’t been performed in probably 30 years, so they might as well be new….and I’m struggling….but I’m on track
