The last month has been getting my gallbladder removed, having house guests for slightly over 1 month..during the College World Series…and trying out some new material.
What fun.
But I love our guests (Dan and Mary and Suzanne), and have the absolute best time when they are here.
But it is a mad-house.
So my magic has suffered in some ways. I didn’t get a ton of practice time, although I did add 1 new item to the show. Which for adults and teens works well. Little kids, eh..probably not so much.
But I did discover that IF you are doing a trick….whether it’s a Devano Deck, or if you’re just trying to pre-set some tape and don’t want it getting tangled up with other props, you just need to take the backing paper off of either: US Postage stamps, or Return Address labels.
The shiny paper sticks just fine to the tape, but is so easy to pull off, and doesn’t seem to bother the stickiness of the tape at all.
Which is neat.
