Haven’t posted for a while since I’ve been swamped with getting ready to do my show…with some fairly sweeping script changes, as well as a completely new item.
Now, the new item wasn’t even fully decided on (method wise) until about 3 days before the show, so it was a mad scramble indeed.
So you have to ask yourself…why would Larry – who’s a notorious over-prepared magician – make massive changes just DAYS before the show.
Because I trust myself. The new trick was using a different method that just felt wrong. Don’t misunderstand, it’s a good method. But not for this trick at this time.
So I scrambled to learn and implement a VERY OLD method…which worked just fine.
The trick effect stayed the same, I got rid of 1 of the spectators I was going to need, cut over TWO MINUTES of script, and added about 4 jokes.
